These hats are individually hand-woven with sustainable palm leaves and have a naturally tanned leather band that is removable. Thoughtfully designed and ethically made by artisans in Guerrero, Mexico, in a fair trade environment. Each hat is unique and may vary in size and color and may have small imperfections.

Why we love this straw hat
For generations, Guerrero's artisans have been weaving palm leaves into baskets, bags, and hats. They have preserved the art of bringing this material to life through ancestral technique, and they carry on the traditions boiling, dying, hand-braiding, and sewing the palm leaves into works of art. It can take years for artisans to master their technique, and each artisan can hand weave 1 to 2 baskets a day.
